Considering we've been getting multiple requests for the deadline extension, it's been decided that the Mikoto Mythology Contest will last for an extra 7 days, i.e. until 27th April.
We hope this extension will help those who've been struggling to finish their entry because of unexpected complications = )

The time has come when I proudly commence this long awaited annual Mikoto Contest! Every Mikoto fan [including potential ones] are more than welcome to join!
:: THEME ::
This year's theme for the Mikoto Contest is
Mythology
The idea was inspired by wonderful illustrations of mythical characters. Your task will be simple: Create a drawing of Mikoto Uchiha in a mythical theme. Let imagination be your guide. You may draw her as goddess Amaterasu from Japanese mythology, siren/ mermaid of the sea, Persephone or Flora [goddess of Spring] from Greek mythology, as a Chinese deity with the dragon and phoenix mates, but also as a chibi in a Easter bunny costume
Anything! You can even make her your own deity of an imaginary universe!
:: RULES ::
• The themes of the contest [Mikoto, Mythology] shall be respected.
• Entries are submitted to
’s gallery, into the respective Category [General/ Beginner] of
Mythology Contest folder

• No offensive message/ hate art/ art violating dA policy
• Maximal number of entries per person is 2, obviously only one will be considered for winning.
• The work must be entirely done by you.
• And most of all, have fun!
TIPs:• Be creative. The impact and originality is just as important [if not more] than drawing skill in this contest.
• Having an interesting concept for your drawing can make it stand out from the rest.
• Since I’m a nitty-picky person, I will most probably sneak to your gallery as well to see how much effort has been put into the drawing. Entries that are exceptionally good compared to contestant’s gallery standard will receive extra credit.

This prize will be awarded to the contestant whose quality of their contest entry remarkably exceeds their current gallery's standard. Eligible for this prize are entries from both categories Standard and Beginners.

and since yesterday wasn't an ordinary day at all - but the birthday (according to the databooks - http://jesterry.deviantart.com/art/Narutoverse-Birthdays-277031276) of both adorable Yahiko & Konan of the Ame Trio, we're happy to inform you we're launching our second group contest featuring the adventures of our great Toad Sage Jiraiya in Amegakure, particularly his relationship and training with Ame Orphans - Yahiko, Konan and Nagato.
MAIN IDEA:
Jiraiya spent three years teaching and training Yahiko, Konan and Nagato. Remember, those weren't peaceful times - they were surrounded by war and its hardships.
And might as well make it a contest too (prizes and all)!
